We are a community gathering to explore the interconnection of LGBTQ life and the Christian faith, share in the God-given diversity of our stories and callings, and grow in compassion for ourselves and for others.

We believe it is critical for everyone to have access to a wide breadth of helpful information and support from the greater network of groups, organizations, and other individuals that lift up our community.

We believe in community for LGBTQ Christians and allies, in whatever form that takes, from participating in our events, to connecting with other organizations focused on more specific work, to plugging in to local community groups, to discovering entirely new resources. Aila Boyd
Brian Dumont
Brian Dumont (he/him/his) is a longtime production director for several national faith based LGBTQ conferences. He has also volunteered as a counselor for youth LGBTQ suicide prevention, campground host, and church sound director. Professionally Brian currently works as a paramedic and perviously a community service officer, while seasonally enjoying opportunities as a whitewater guide and pyrotechnician. His work in with non-profit organizations dates back over 15 years, when his own struggles for reconciling faith and sexuality, and experiencing first hand the tragedy of youth suicide, led him to discover his passion for supporting this community.
Brian is honored to be a part of the founding board for OutChristian and is looking forward to serving the LGBTQ faith community at large though his work on the board. He recognizes that he would not be where he is today if not for this very community. He is dedicated to ensuring the life-saving support that impacted him is accessible to everyone.
Kaitlyn Kohley
Kaitlyn Kohley (she/her/hers) is an MPA graduate who has spent her career working with people who live in the margins. She currently works for a local government agency serving people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Kaitlyn became involved with the LGBTQ+ Christian community as she explored her identity as a daughter of a lesbian mother and her own faith. Through this, she has discovered the powerful impact of community and is passionate about providing an open space for people to be themselves and explore who they are. Kaitlyn currently resides in Columbia, Mo with her cat, Luna, and spends her free time kickboxing, crocheting, reading/writing, and experiencing the stories others have to share.
Kevin Nguyen
Kevin Nguyen (he/him/his) is a Vietnamese-American, who was raised Catholic by two immigrant parents. He holds two Bachelor’s degrees in Biology (Baylor University) and Health Education (University of Houston), and a Master’s Degree in College Counseling and Student Development (Azusa Pacific University). He has lived in Texas, New Jersey, California, and a brief stint in Bangkok, Thailand as an English teacher. Kevin values the idea of self-discovery and improvement through education and experience and consider himself an advocate for social justice and equity for those in the LGBTQ+ community.
Ken Pifer
Ken Pifer (he/him/his) is a Certified Public Accountant who has focused his career serving not-for-profit organizations in various capacities, beginning at the public accounting firm Capin Crouse, LLP, where he spent eight years providing auditing and consulting services to a variety of not-for-profit organizations. He then served as Vice President of Finance and Administration for Far East Broadcasting Company, Inc., a not-for-profit organization that provides leadership and resources to an international radio network broadcasting Christian programming throughout the world, followed by eight years at Claremont University Consortium in Claremont, California, where he oversaw accounting, employee benefits, and risk management services provided to the member institutions of The Claremont Colleges. Ken moved to Salem, Oregon in 2013 to serve as Controller for Willamette University.
Ken has been a presenter at conferences including the Higher Education Accounting Forum and the Tax Forum sponsored by the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO). In addition, he has served on accreditation teams for the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
Ken considers himself a “late-bloomer,” having begun the process of grappling with his sexual identity and coming out in his mid-thirties, after years trying to be someone other than himself. Thanks in no small part to other LGBTQ+ Christians and the blessings of therapy, he is grateful for the journey towards authenticity, and cherishes community with like-minded LGBTQ+ Christians.
Michael Snow
Michael Snow (he/him/his) became a Christian while in college in Virginia, joining a student-focused church, serving on the production team as well as a small group leader. After graduation, he became production coordinator and faculty advisor to vtONE, a student organization focused on unity and revival on the Virginia Tech campus. He is an accomplished live sound engineer and system tech, having worked with local, regional and national acts. A survivor of reparative therapy, Michael is fully affirming of LGBTQIA+ relationships in the church and is passionate about developing relationships within the community and creating environments where disagreements can be addressed through productive conversation. He currently lives in San Jose, California, working as a Site Reliability Engineer for a Fortune 100 company.
Trey Weaver
Trey Weaver, CMP (he/him/his) is an expert cat herder (i.e., an event and meetings professional) with over 20 years experience in the non-profit industry, including consulting organizations across the country on areas of operations, management, and fundraising development. In 2017 he was named an “Agent of Change” for faith-based meetings by Connect Faith magazine. He is a published contributor for Do Good Well, an introductory how-to on grassroots leadership, action, and innovation. Trey lives in Columbus, Ohio, with his cat overlord, Draco, a constant supply of Dr Pepper, and love of bad puns.
